Use case

OBJECT

tracking

Automated detection, tracking and geolocation of moving objects from stabilized aerial observation.

Purpose

Turn aerial video into a live, geolocated picture for field teams. .

Operational need

During vehicle pursuits or ground surveillance operations, law-enforcement and site-security teams must rapidly detect, track and continuously locate a moving vehicle or object. Drone operators are expected to keep it within the camera's field of view while updating field teams with its position.

Under high operational tempo, holding manual visual contact with a moving object raises operator workload — and the risk of losing it.

Solution

Object detection, tracking and geolocation run onboard the gimbal payload, independently of the drone platform.

The operator selects an object in the live video feed. The gimbal centres on it automatically and maintains tracking through changes in speed and direction — without continuous manual input.

Its position is geolocated in real time and shared with field teams on a common map, keeping everyone on the same picture without communication lag.

Result

Operators get a real-time view showing the drone and the tracked object together, with position and object classification updated continuously throughout the operation.

This removes the manual-tracking workload, letting operators focus on coordination and decision-making — and reducing the risk of losing the object under pressure.

Where manual tracking degrades with distance, speed and fatigue, automated tracking holds a steady picture and delivers reliable position data to field teams from start to finish.
